Build the schedule

• Click a person, then click their colored slots to assign. They stay selected — keep clicking. Esc releases.
• Or click an empty slot first to see who fits, then click a person.
• × on a filled slot clears it. The lock beneath it keeps that assignment during generation. One shift per person per day is a hard rule.
• Generate drafts the week from availability and want/max. Re-roll tries a different draft. Locked shifts stay in place.
• Arrows in the top bar switch weeks — every week is stored separately, and everything saves automatically.

Colors while assigning

• Preferred — they starred this shift
• Available — they can work it
• Unavailable — they can't, per their submission
• Over want — assigns normally, but goes past what they asked for
• Override — requires Shift-click for unavailable or over max

Colors on people

• 3/3 has the shifts they want
• 4/3 over what they want
• 6/5 over their max

Want is what we aim for. Going over want is yellow and still clickable. Going over Max is red and requires Shift-click.

Overrides

Hold Shift and unavailable people or slots light up red — you can pick them anyway. Shift-click assigns. Forced shifts stay red on the board, and clear on their own if the person's availability later covers them.

People

• Click a person to edit their availability, roles, want/max and end date — it saves to their submission.
• + Add creates someone new. Remove takes them off the list but keeps their data; bring them back with + Add.
• The position tabs filter the list by role.

Weeks, flags and the summary

• Staff fill the availability page: one regular week, plus per-week exceptions when needed.
• Flags lists who is away, leaving, on custom availability, or left a note — for the week you're viewing.
• Week at a glance (under the board) shows fill by position, who still needs shifts, and anything to watch. It returns whenever you close a person.
